Does anyone else get a thrill from holding old tools? The sense of connection with the artists of the past? The wonder at the ingenuity & variation in styles & materials? Come see how they're used on Friday, when Linda Alderdice of, The Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia, will be demonstrating this local, traditional craft and registering vintage rugs. The Hooked Rug Museum is now open. Be sure to stop by and visit the Museum on your travels between now and mid October.
There are beautiful displays, much history to learn about the craft of rug hooking and a market place that has rug hooking supplies as well as mats/rugs, etc. for purchase.
