Just a piece of a vintage wool blanket leftover from making a jacket, a sheet of printable fusible fabric, and some fussing on the computer. Sewn on my precious old Bernina with it’s awesome zig-zag powers, and onto my market table next day!

When I saw this lightweight cotton throw at a secondhand shop it was basically calling out to be made into a robe, with that vibrant abstract feather-like print just fanning out from the neckline like a dream.

It’s so rare to get that match of find & project that you just cut into the materials without hesitation, no tormenting yourself for weeks or stashing it away for “later”. So satisfying.

Can’t get more local than this! Aside from the 6am set-up, last Saturday was great and it was awesome to meet more local...

Can’t get more local than this!

Aside from the 6am set-up, last Saturday was great and it was awesome to meet more local folks, so I’m around the corner at the Brantford Farmers’ Market again tomorrow.

I’ve got some new robes, bags and other unique & useful goods for you to touch & try!

So I picked up a box of vintage linens I bought in an auction and this wacky amazing piece was added on top! What to do with it?

I don’t know yet… but I do know it will be on display at home, giving us life and giggles in the meantime.
