Ok guys, I’m not talking about everything made in China. I’m talking -Fast Fashion.
It’s really important to be “picky” about where and how things are made.
Example my clothes are made in a family run facility in China that gives weeks off for vacation AND uses the clothes that DO NOT sell to make new clothes like our sports bras. Our sports bras are made from clothes before they are sent to be thrown out on this landfill in Chile.
Our shorts are made from plastics we (Canada) sends over seas for Asian countries to deal with. Yes, it’s still a thing! Canada is still sending their garbage over seas for them to deal with.
Until big corporations stop using and selling their products in plastic and in large quantities that don’t sell we will always have these issues.
Even if you do not buy from me, please consider where you do buy to reduce our ecological footprints. 🙏

The fast fashion industry uses about 8,000 synthetic chemicals, as reported by The Guardian. "An estimated 8,000 synthetic chemicals are used throughout the world to turn raw materials into textiles, many of which will be released into freshwater.

Canada alone throws away over 3 million tonnes of plastic, what happens to it when we recycle it??
About 86 per cent of Canada's plastic waste ends up in landfill, while a meager eight per cent is recycled. The rest is burned in incinerators, contributing to climate change and air pollution, or ends up in the environment as litter.
This is why we need to cut down on our household plastic and find alternate routes. We need to give a big F U to the Big businesses not changing and start supporting small companies trying to make a difference.

We as humans have the free will to consciously make the decision to be a positive or negative reaction in this natural cycle.

Our goal at Earth Connection is to take the worlds current modern life style and use it to clean-up Mother Nature. Our mission is to build a fun, comfortable, practical line of products made out of plastic before it hits the oceans, rivers, or landfills, as well as incorporating other earth friendly materials.
