🚨 FREE Eye Exams for Kids & Seniors in Alberta! 👓

✅Children (0-18):
Annual eye exams are still covered under Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan, ensuring that their eye health remains a priority.

✅Seniors (65+)

Annual eye exams are still covered under Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan.
Regular checkups are vital for detecting and managing age-related conditions like cataracts, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.

✅ Emergency visits (injuries, infections, sudden vision loss) are also FREE

❗️Adults (19–64) must pay for routine exams unless medically necessary. But if you have insurance, you should ask optometrist clinic for your coverage eye exam (direct billing or pre-authorities)

⚠️ Important Changes (2025):
+ Some services (retinal imaging, follow-ups) now have small fees
+ Follow-up exams are no longer covered
