As the first part of our month-long Holiday Magic 2024 celebration, Downtown Newcastle invites you to enjoy FREE horse-drawn sleigh rides through the heart of our beautifully decorated Town Square. Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and spirit of the holidays with your family and friends!

📅 Sleigh Ride Dates & Times:
🛷 November 28th – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
🛷 December 5th – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
🛷 December 12th – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
🛷 December 19th – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
🛷 December 21st – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

📍 Pick-Up & Drop-Off Location:
Ellen Street, in front of Ellen Street Florals.

✨ Warm Up at the Kin Center Warming Station
Make your sleigh ride night even cozier! Stop by the Kin Center Warming Station from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on December 5th, 12th, and 19th to enjoy:

☕Free Hot Chocolate from Mill Cove Coffee to keep you warm and festive.
✨A Cozy Lounge Area to relax with friends and family.
🎄Holiday Fun Activities hosted by the Grade 8 students of Max Aitken Academy:
🎥 December 5th & 12th: Holiday Movie Nights on the big screen in the main auditorium.
🎅 December 19th: Selfies with Santa during this jolly two-hour session.

The Kin Center will be your perfect holiday hangout spot—stop in before or after your sleigh ride for some extra seasonal cheer!

It felt very special to have a Secret Garden Pop-Up in my hometown and be a part of the festival that I grew up in.

Big thanks and congrats to the Rock N Roll Festival on their 30th year!!! They’ve only had 3 (!!!) committee members this year and are still making beautiful and lively things happen in the community!! And of course to Seven Threads seven.threads for putting together this amazing market with local vendors 💙

Big thanks to my mama for spending her day off with me doing my thing and my sweet grandma for taking the lead in merchandising ❤️😂

Always a huge thank you to the customers and new people I met 🙏 Extra special shout-out to the sweetheart that brought me cotton candy ✨🫶
