You may see a messy booth.
I see the remnants of a successful market day.
One lesson I learned years ago is simple: stay open until the very end.
While some vendors were beginning to pack down, I was still welcoming customers at 1:25 PM. Market closes at 1:30, and in my experience, some of the best sales happen in those final moments.
Yesterday, my last sale represented more than a quarter of my entire day's sales.
You never know who is rushing over after work, finishing lunch, or making one last stop before heading home.
I'm especially grateful for the repeat customers who go out of their way to find me. Seeing familiar faces week after week is one of the greatest gifts of doing what I do.
So here's your reminder:
Stay open.
Stay present.
Welcome the last customer with the same enthusiasm as the first.
Sometimes the best part of the day happens right before the end.
