Dear Friends,
Since opening last November, Kinspoke Collective has been more than a shop. It has been a place to gather, connect, and celebrate the creativity of this island. Together, we have shared stories over beautiful, handcrafted goods, rooted in the spirit of slow living on Saturna.
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our physical storefront will be closing this fall. While we had hoped to sustain through the winter, operational costs, lower foot traffic than projected, and space limitations for workshops and practitioners made it clear that we cannot keep the shop open year-round.
This project was never about profit. It was about people, visitors and locals alike, coming together around creativity, land, and community. In that, Kinspoke has been a success we will always treasure.
To honour all who made this possible, makers will receive 100% of their sales made in October.
Kinspoke-made products will be offered at a discount as a thank you to our community.
Although our storefront is closing, the Kinspoke online shop will remain open so we can keep sharing the artistry of our local makers with you. Whether this continues as a short chapter or a longer story is still unfolding. In the coming months, we will explore what is possible and see if an online presence can be sustained. No matter what, our hope is to keep the spirit of Kinspoke alive by connecting you with the creativity and heart of this island community.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who visited, supported, and believed in this dream. Kinspoke was born to connect, and even as the physical doors close, that connection lives on.
With revolutionary gratitude,
Sam + Lisa
