Here’s how Stephanie dates a piece before she even looks at the style: the clasp.

Ring clasp? A spring-ring clasp is common from the 1940s through the 1980s and was patented way back in the 1840s, so seeing one often points to a piece from before the 1980s.

Lobster clasp? More modern.

Bonus secret — older pieces were made before lead and nickel were common in jewelry, so if you have metal sensitivities, this is a great place to start looking!

Every single piece that comes through our doors gets sorted with care. Some pieces find their way to DYL Fashions Preloved Boutique. Others head to DYL Thrift, where affordable fashion becomes accessible to more women in our community.

And we’re proud to say we’re a for-profit business. That’s not something we shy away from, it’s actually what makes all of this sustainable. Being for-profit means we can employ local women, cover our expenses, and keep growing, all while still making monthly cash donations to the Women’s Shelter and providing Fashion Vouchers to community groups that support women.

Your donations do more than you think. Keep them coming 🤍

At DYL Fashions, our mission is simple: give pre-loved fashion a second life, keep quality pieces out of the landfill, and help every woman who walks through our doors feel confident and beautiful.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Product
Preparation Specialist (Part-Time) to help us work our magic behind the scenes!

What you’ll do:
* ��Lint roll and steam clothing to a gorgeous, like-new finish
* ��Thoroughly inspect items and catch any flaws before they hit the floor
* ��Clean and condition pre-loved shoes and handbags

What we’re looking for:
* ��A sharp eye for detail and pride in doing things right
* ��A warm, confident personality who loves interacting with customers
* ��Someone reliable who can work independently once trained

(Have a passion for fashion, light sewing skills, or leather care? That’s a bonus, but we provide full, hands-on training!)
