Intro to Beads: Winter's Last Breath Shawl

Winter’s Last Breath is a shawl that features the simple beauty of garter stitch contrasted with a delicate beaded lace border.

This project is ideal for newer lace knitters as well as those who are new to adding beads to their work. Because the body of the shawl is all knit, this allows focused learning on the repeated lace edge. Beads are placed using the “add-as-you-go” method, with crochet hook or thin wire. You will discover just how simple it is to add a little glimmer to your lace work!

Oops! Fixing Mistakes

The MOST frequently asked question knitters ask is , “How do I fix my mistakes!?!” We all have those moments where we must decide to tink, rip back or frog a project entirely. Fixing mistakes comes with practice and that’s what this class is designed to give you. We will go over some of the most common knitting errors and how to fix them. By then end of this class, you will be prepared to rip your stitches off the needle at any given moment! Elizabeth Zimmerman said “be the boss of your knitting”, telling us that, with enough time and practice, we can tame our work into submission. With this in mind, we will cheer each other on and better establish the mind set needed for tackling present and future knitting challenges! BE THE BOSS of your knitting and take this class!
