And here a few photos for you to see our new shorts on a human. I’m 5.6 (at least I used to be, not sure now… LOL), wearing XS-S. This shorts are like any of our designs, versatile, comfortable, breathable, and very cool. Wear them casual with boots, or elevate it with flats or elegant shoes. Wear them on your waist, or lower half way to the hips.
Please forgive my crazy morning hair, no make up (bc I normally don’t use) and my red bra. It’s one of the many pros of aging, that I do not give a f… about what others think. This is me on a normal morning. And the intention here is to show you the shorts, not me.

NEW release! Ready for summer
We are starting a pre-order of this fabulous shorts. Fabric is a twill style 50% linen, 50% organic cotton. Soft and light, comfortable, durable, and very beautiful!
We are opening pre-orders tonight at 8pm pacific time, until Sunday at 9pm. Quantities are limited, two colours available (the sample colour is called Pistachio, kind of a mustard colour). Pistachio and denim (attention denim is the name of the colour, but it’s in the same material, linen and organic cotton twill. See last photo to for colours.
5 sizes available. XS-S, S-M, M-L, L-XL, and XXL. We need minimums to produce them, so we need your help sharing this, pre-ordering, or buying gift cards without expiration for us to be able to finance the production. Help Fento keep designing and creating for women and whoever feels like a woman, specially midlife women. Not having external investors allow us to keep our commitment with sustainability, over profit. BTW, Fento do not use AI, and work only with local manufacturers whether real people have fair salaries, human hands are sewing our designs. The same people who pay taxes and allow our communities to have Universal health care, roads, and many others services that improves our human quality of life. The day AI is internationally regulated to: stop stealing art from humans, stop replacing humans and only used to improve the quality of life of those humans, and in general is only used to help us have a better world in general, instead of enriching the billionaires even more, like how to prevent and early detection of wildfires, climate change, increase of renewable energies, protect our kids and teens, then, we may change our minds our AI. For now, I’ll say, f**k it. So, you will read my bad English, but at least you know it’s me, Uxia, typing on my laptop.

I would like to introduce you all to woman who save Fento last year.
She is Gwen, and owns an atelier in Vancouver called

When you start a business, it's obvious than the first years will be hard. But in our case, we added to the natural challenges, stat working with the wrong manufacturer. I'll not name them, because I hope they learned from my business coach advices I have them for free... working with them madr me loose $5000 and 6 months. That affected dramatically the launch of the brand on a good timing. I like to call it the best and very expensive business training I've ever done... I learned so much from this experience.

When I was rethinking my next steps and try to figure out how to keep going, I found Emily and Gwen after many months of research.

Emily from and I worked together to improve my patterns (because they were really, really bad madr by tye first manufacturer), and then I found Gwen with her who kept improving them and made production samples and production on record time, as fast as her team could, working extra hours.

Thank you Emily, thank you Gwen, I'm forever grateful!
BTW Gwen, I own you a box of chocolates for you and your team! I wish I was in Vancouver more often to go skating with you!

And now is the turn for the amazing Ash from . I meet Ash only two weeks before the photoshoot, through a common friend (thank you for introducing me to this gorgeous woman!). She jumped to help on the last minute, after one of the models cancelled the night before the shooting. Ash, you save the day! Another powerful, wise, and beautiful woman , I design for. Ash and Yumana were the last ones on the photoshoot. They waited for two hours, in a sunny but chilly day.
Ash, thank you so much, for your time, patience, and for being Fento’s image for this Sprint collection.
You can find her selling the most beautiful bouquets of flowers in her flower farm.

“A born and raised Comox kid, I joined the Airforce for a decade of challenges and adventure.

After spending the better part of a decade in the Northwest Territories and then Alaska, I returned to Comox with my husband and two daughters.

Having never successfully grown anything, we bought a small acreage and took a deep dive into flower farming and regenerative farming.

5 years later, I am proud to be the head flower farmer at MAD Flowers, and to provide ethically grown florals, produce, and currently starting a new chapter raising poultry.

Hello friends and followers,
I would like to introduce you to Grace, from (we are really lucky to have such a great quality of consignments here in the Comox Valley, and hers is one of my favorite ones). Grace had been listening about Fento, when it was a project. Every time I visited her to drop my clothes for sell, or to buy gorgeous pieces, she would ask about Fento, and I’ll talk and talk about it (you know, when you have passion about something, and someone asks you, time goes and goes…).
So, of course I wanted to have her as a Fento’s model. Grace also won the Young Entrepreneur award with the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce. Grace, aside a successful entrepreneur, you are also an amazing human being. Congratulations, and thank you for being at the photoshoot.
