Seamless Stitches Children’s Sewing Program is a sewing club that provides each child with the opportunity to learn the craft of sewing, using both a sewing machine and free hand stitches. Our program will offer beginner and advance classes. The program will be divided into three 12 week courses each year. The cost of each 12 week course is $300.
All materials are included and each child is assigned a sewing machine. The program will aim to froster independence and improve self-esteem through the resulting pride in their end products and the good work ethic required to achieve their goals.
The age group range 5-16 years in the program is designed to build leadership skills in the older children as they support the younger “team” member to complete their products. The younger team members will receive mentorship for those older/more experienced.
Beginner Classes: practice sewing lines, curves and shapes. These activities will give the children ample practice manoeuvring the fabric while sewing. They would also practice re-threading the sewing machine and provided an understanding of how the machine works. By the end of each two hour class the children would have made an item to take home.
Advance Classes: participant will be given the opportunity to make items they can donate to organizations in the community or, if they choose, they can sell their items. Participant will then decide how to utilize any funds generated through sales.
Seamless Stitches Children’s Sewing Program classes are on Saturdays from:
10:00am - 11:00am
12:00am - 1:00pm

Our three 12 week courses dates are:
November 1st - January 24th
February 7th - April 25th
