With Taber being one of the top two contenders for Kraft Hockeyville, there is one final step that we can take to support the restoration of this small town rink to its former functionality.
Voting will take place on April 3-4, and it is possible to vote multiple times, with each vote bringing Taber closer to winning.
This year's top two arenas are both highly deserving of winning the Kraft Hockeyville contest. The tragic events that occurred in Tumbler Ridge, including the school shooting, have had a profound impact on the community, and it is clear that the residents of Taber empathize with their struggles. Everyone in Taber feels a deep sense of sorrow for the community and families affected by the tragedy.
This contest presents a unique opportunity for both communities, and winning would be a transformative experience for the Taber arena. The arena is more than just a place for recreational activities; it is a central hub for the community, a place where families and friends gather to support their loved ones.
Unfortunately, the arena has been severely damaged, and despite having insurance, the repair estimates far exceed the coverage.
Winning this contest would not just be an upgrade to Taber, it would mean HAVING A HOME RINK AGAIN!!
Since establishing my company, my primary goal has been to raise funds for the Taber Rink Repairs. A portion of every order has been allocated to a donation pool, which has accumulated over $2,800 (excluding march)
As a parent of a minor hockey player, I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that an arena can have on a child's development. It is not just a recreational activity, but an opportunity for young players to develop essential life skills, such as teamwork and discipline.
I urge all parents of minor hockey players to support Taber in the Kraft Hockeyville contest and help the TABER OIL KINGS restore their home rink.
Make sure you are registered to vote and place your vote as many times as possible! Lets band together for this small community and show the kids what hard work looks like from Alberta ππ¨π¦
