Originally operating under the name Bébé de Luxe, a brand created by Amanda when her son was a baby, the two friends came together in the Spring of 2017 to discuss a partnership. It seemed a natural fit, since Shylah’s mom, Sue, had been an integral part of the BdL team for well over a year, managing all production and packaging while Amanda handled all other aspects. d to surpass the capacity of Amanda’s spare bedroom office in her townhouse and the hours she could devote to BdL at night once her son Rian was tucked into bed. Shylah swooped in to save the day and the girls were soon incorporating So Luxury Bath & Body Inc. and signing a lease for warehouse space. Só was chosen from our joint Irish heritage and means Luxury. We aim to embody Só in everything we do, in every product we create. We hope you will love the new brand as much as you love BdL. We will continue to offer the same high-quality products you were accustomed to, just a whole new “fresh and modern” look!

as a co-founder of a business built on selling bath sóaks, it feels a bit sacrilegious to say i’m not a bath girlie.

but we promised to be transparent and authentic. i have a bath maybe once a year and when i do, i use at least a 1/2 bag of flaky, 1/2 bag of coco cream and a 1/2 bag of patchouli lemon salty.

one bath. approximately $47 worth of product. no regrets.

“this laundry soda is incredible! i could never find a natural option that actually smelled clean and this one does it with WAY LESS then you’d actually think! i kept to their recommendations on half scoop and even on my husbands insanely sweaty workout clothes and our animals p*e spill they came out completely clean and with zero odour at all. i’m incredibly impressed!”

one of the beautiful things about social media is the things you learn. Megan Nakazawa of Canadian Gift Shop 🇨🇦 | The Local Space and samantha of Samantha Potter levelled up my cooking just by sharing theirs.

i’ve always made this meal. It was one of my favourites growing up. sunday roast. my mom is a great cook and her roast dinner is - chef’s kiss só I learned from the best.

BUT megan posted about her poor mans prime rib and I love the simplicity of it. Just a sear and leave it in the oven.

AND when Samantha posted her mom’s mashed potatoes it forever changed the way I make mashed potatoes. boursin and dill. mashed potatoes levelled up.

poor man’s prime rib
3 pound roast (most often i use sirloin tip but you can also use eye of round)
garlic powder
onion powder
salt and pepper to taste

preheat oven to 500° F
immediately reduce the temp to 475° f. roast for 21 minutes (7 mins per pound) then turn off the oven and let the roast sit in the hot oven for 2.5 hours. do not open the door at all during this time.

boursin dill mashed potatoes
cook your russet potatoes as usual.
1/4 c butter
1 boursin round
milk
dill (approx 2 tsp)

our bodies pay for the conveniences in life. all those little things add up.

getting back simpler things and the realization that we don’t always need a fancy machine and coffee pod subscription.

french press makes beautiful coffee and it’s easier to control the added toxins. water boiled in a glass or stainless kettle and poured into a french press with a stainless steel filter means no microplastics or harmful chemicals are added to your coffee.

in most coffee makers boiled water passes through plastic parts and even the nespresso pods contain a thin polymer lining inside the nespresso capsule.

a no brainer for this girl.
