Remember when reels and TikToks were all about fun transitions, trending dances, fun aesthetic and trying to time everything perfectly to the beat? 😂

Now every second video looks like a university lecture with 14 paragraphs of text slapped over video footage and someone whispering life advice in the background.

Somewhere along the way social media stopped feeling playful and started feeling like homework.

I’ve been quietly keeping busy…

I can’t seem to keep up with the demands of Instagram lately, so I’ve decided to write my own narrative. I’m going to show up when I can and in the way I want to. I want to be genuinely me, not what Instagram tells me to be.

And if that means I’m not trendy, if that means I don’t have the best engagement… well, I really don’t care anymore.

I’m tired of stressing and exhausting myself just trying to keep up with the demands of this platform. It’s starting to make me enjoy my business less, and that’s not why I started this.

I feel like I should be spending more time doing what I love, sewing and creating, instead of constantly analyzing insights to make sure my account is up to s***f with social media standards.

This is me.
