What an incredible evening at the Ajax Small Business Networking Event!

Honoured to speak about Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Resilience alongside community leaders including Mayor Shaun Collier and MP Brad Vis, with the event hosted by Greg Brady.

Standing in a room filled with entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers in Ajax reminded me why I do what I do.

I didn’t speak about the glamorous side of business.
I spoke about the real side.

The setbacks.
The failed partnerships.
The lessons that humble you.
The resilience that rebuilds you.

I shared how losing my boutique became one of the greatest leadership lessons of my life — teaching me boundaries, discernment, and the courage to start again. Out of that loss came clarity. Out of that clarity came BIZfASHION Magazine. Out of that pain came purpose.

Entrepreneurship is not about applause.
It’s about impact.

It’s about creating platforms where people feel seen.
It’s about building businesses rooted in values.
It’s about leading with integrity — even when it’s hard.

Thank you to the organizers for creating space where business truly meets leadership. And thank you to everyone who came forward afterward to share your own stories of resilience — that is why these conversations matter.

Low-Cost Rabies Clinic!
Check out this upcoming local clinic for your pets hosted by Vets Around the Corner Community Veterinarian Program.

📅 Sat. Oct. 18
🕙 10am-3pm
📍 Ajax Community Centre, 75 Centennial Rd., Ajax (in HMS Room)
💲 $50+HST (rabies vaccine) and $35+HST (microchipping) $75 (exams - $15-$18 for all vaccines).

Bloodwork and prescription medication available on site as well.
OSPCA/Humane Society will be on-site handing out food for those in need.

The funds raised through this clinic will directly support initiatives that care for homeless pets and assist their owners in the Ajax community.

The way a husband treats his wife sets a crucial example for the entire family.
