The second walked through my door, I knew she was my kind of lady! Our personalities just seemed to instantly jive and getting to know her and what she wanted in a suit just seemed so effortless. A gorgeous gold & olive suit seemed like the obvious choice for this blonde beauty with piercing eyes! 🫒

Another moment that confirmed Stephanie was my kind of person... at her second appointment, she brought in eyeshadow palettes and swatched them for me to communicate her vision 💄 As a former makeup artist and current makeup lover, there was really no better way for us to confirm we were on the same page!

I always love when clients come to me with a general vision and give me the freedom to design freely. came to me in spring 2022, looking for a suit that was "galaxy-inspired" with a black mystique fabric base. I've had the pleasure of knowing Kathleen for years now, and we are both HUGE Drag Race fans. When she mentioned "black fabric" and "galaxy", the first thing that came to mind was the final runway look worn by in season 10 (swipe to feast your eyes upon the killer look). I fired up Corel Draw and designed a sketch for her, and she was very pleased with my vision! ..
This beauty, which we now refer to as "The Aquaria", features clear Crystal and Graphite coloured Austrian crystal with Preciosa connectors. This suit won "Best Bikini" at the June 25 SAF Summer Spectacular show, which is the second time in a row one of my Kathleen creations has won that award (we are 2 for 2!). ..
This gorgeous lady will be hitting the stage again on Saturday for the 2022 Fall Spectacular, in another drag queen-inspired fully-crystalled creation. Who wants to guess which queen inspired the next look? No spoilers!!! Best of luck to Kathleen on Saturday... It's always my pleasure to work with you and call you my friend ♥️..

Navy isn't a common colour for competition suits, especially in bikini category, which is why I was so excited when my gorgeous client Lou picked it for the show last weekend! You really can't go wrong with navy... It tends to look amazing on everyone and gives off such a classy vibe. And chances are, your suit will stand out on stage because no one else will be wearing it! This beautiful navy mystique fabric was decked out in Crystal, Light Sapphire, and Denim shades of top quality Austrian crystal.

What kind of Sunday are you having? I'm having a "hide in the house and sew" day (which is most of my Sundays, let's be real). But it's so cold out!! And a storm's-a-brewin'. Luckily I have this STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS print from by the extremely talented .reck.art to keep me busy (and warm).

As I start getting to work on suits for the upcoming June shows, I'm feeling a tad nostalgic about last year's Ottawa Natural Classic! There were so few shows last year due to the pandemic, but both the organizers and my clients really persevered to made the September show a success! I felt even more proud than usual, seeing my creations up on stage knowing how much harder it was to get up on that stage in 2020.

Speaking of the September show, did you notice is an in her beautiful bright blue figure suit? This lady has it all...beauty, strength, AND brains (she has a Ph.D!). She is a huge inspiration and it was amazing to see her take home the well-deserved overall trophy!

I AM still alive! Between competition off-season and the pandemic, I've been enjoying plenty of "me" time and sewing casually...my goal is to come out of this thing with a whole new wardrobe 👗💃 last weekend I had a bit of fun running my own "photoshoot" for a pattern test I helped with (new Simpatico leggings from ). Hope all you lovely people are doing well and staying safe!..

Check out rocking the stage a couple of months ago at the Ottawa Natural Classic! Who would have guessed this was her first competition? Unfortunately due to Covid-19, we had to do her consultation virtually, but in the end, I don't think it made much of a difference. Congrats Judith!! ..
