This week gave me a lot to think about. I don’t have to push myself harder than feels right, and I want to stop overthinking and fight my perfectionist tendencies. I just need to get my stuff out there and then tweak as needed!

Week 1 goals:
📱 Marketing Challenge: 4 Instagram posts ✅
🛍️ Shop Challenge: 1 new listing ✅
✨ Side Quest: 1 email newsletter ✅

Week 1 sales: 0 (zero). Le sigh. At least there’s nowhere to go but up!

This week’s goals:
📱 Marketing Challenge: Shoot some reels/b-roll footage I’ve been putting off
🛍️ Shop Challenge: Audit my pricing and perhaps experiment with free/paid shipping
✨ Side Quest: Take photos of some new products (which I am super excited about! Stay tuned.)

I moved to Kitchener, Ontario in 2020, after growing up in Toronto and then moving to Waterloo in 2003 for university. After living in a few more cities, I came back to this area for work in 2012.

I do miss Toronto, but I looooove living in KW (despite the streets not resembling anything close to a grid system!). My kids were born in Kitchener and I think we’ll be here for a good long while. 🥰

I’m planning on making some more KW designs! What are your favourite things about Waterloo Region?

Some days I feel like an artist with great ideas. Some days I feel like a burned out mom and don’t think about my Etsy shop at all. But I keep coming back because the feeling I get when one of my cards or stickers resonates with someone else makes it all worth it!

When I hear the cha-ching that tells me someone spent their money on something I dreamed up sitting on my couch, it surprises me every time (in the best way possible).

Thank you for supporting this little business of mine. Whether you bought something, watched a reel all the way through, or just took the time to read this caption... it’s so appreciated. 🩷💛

I started designing stickers in 2024 and it’s brought me so much joy! I love sticking them on my laptop, printer, water bottles, notebooks… any flat surface I can find!

I’ve always been a creative person, but stickers have helped me explore that creativity in a new and non-intimidating way.

Inspired by a post from Daniela 🧚🏻‍♀️✨ | bookstagram, which immediately made me want to make my own version (she also posted an awesome tutorial about creating the animated effect in Canva!). Thanks for the inspiration! 💛
