This week I was able to help a student complete this lovely, oversized coat and there are so many things that really resonated with me through the construction of this project I simply had to share.

This project was completely freestyled and evolved as we worked on it. Lynda came to me with a woven blanket and an idea. No pattern, no picture, just a concept. So, we talked about it, built a vision and then we let the materials guide us. The oversized cowl hood, lovely fringed trim, microsuede lining, welt pockets, all figured out as we went along. As you can see from the last picture we used almost every inch of that blanket, and I love that there was so little wasted in the end.

The best, however, is that Lynda is 74 yrs old. I am humbled and privileged to be teaching and working with someone who has 70 plus years of life under her belt. You are never too old (or too young) to challenge yourself, to dream and to create. I'm inspired and grateful. Beautiful work Lynda, thank you for learning, exploring and creating with me.

As another year comes to an end, I would like to thank all of my students who learned, experimented and created with me this year.
It's been such a great year and I look forward to working with you in 2026.

Classes will be resuming the week of January 6, I will post any available spots January 2nd, if you know anyone who might like to take a class please feel free to share my info and reach out if you have any questions.

Well 2026 is at our doorstep and it's time to start planning for the new year.
My next set of sewing classes will be starting January 6th, and I will be continuing to offer Home School/Family Classes, Youth Classes (10-18yrs), Adult Classes (18+) and General Classes through out the year.

I like to run 8 week sessions. Each session includes 8 - 90 minute classes for $200. Classes are a maximum of four students and are geared towards providing a personalized learning experience. Students have access to a fully equipped lab and all skill levels are welcome.

It's crazy to think that we are already at the end of October! As you may have noticed I am not so great at keeping up with the demands of Social Media and an update is way overdue.

I would like to start by saying thank you to all of my students and clients who have worked with me this past year as I started this new venture. It has been, and is such a pleasure to be part of your learning journey and I am truly grateful to all of you. Every day spent in the lab teaching or creating is a good one and I hope that each of you who come to learn with me feel the same way. ❤️

My next round of classes is about to start and I have reached out to everyone who has expressed a desire to continue. Once I have received confirmation of my numbers I will be posting any available spots for Nov-Dec.
