100% Cotton or min 50% Cotton/50% Polyester is the best for DTG printing on Apparel. Images, like photos don't need to be really high resolution. However, saying that, you cannot just grab an image from the web to print as they are often low resolution when uploaded. For example: Photos on Facebook are condensed; if they weren't it would take forever for your page to upload. So, if you are wanting a photo printed, it's best to have the original.
