I planned to remake these mukluks. They are in need of some repair. I have a grey rabbit fur coat that I had planned to use to rebuild them. It probably won't happen.

I know there are lots of vintage lovers on this page...so, i am asking for advice.

I have this amazing coat that I have been hoarding for years. As I clean my space, I am letting some things go.
This is one of those things....but I don't know what its worth.

What are your thoughts??. If anyone is interested in it let me know. Its in beautiful condition.

When I get time....I think i want to take these vintage curtains and turn them into a blazer...when I get time. 🤔🙄

Packing up 10 years of a hobby/business from my sewing room is proving to be more overwhelming than I thought it would be. I'd say I have already gotten rid of half of what was in here.
This sewing room of mine is like the spice girl bus ( iykyk), small on the outside and must be huge on the inside. And I still have boxes and bins all over the place.

Right now purses and leather and business in general is on the back burner.

But it has been rainy so I figured a rainy day is a good day to pin baste my quilt.

I am almost finished hand stitching the smaller one I was working on, and I will be hand stitching this queen sized one as well.

My 'grandma hobbies' do bring me so much peace, calm and happy, and helps drown out all the other noise. Especially while watching old episodes of Dallas.

This is a scrap quilts and I used up all my random leftover pieces. Most from bag linings over the years.

Between yard work and digging plants, I take a break occasionally and work on downsizing my sewing room, as I pack it up...

Between yard work and digging plants, I take a break occasionally and work on downsizing my sewing room, as I pack it up for a renovation and who knows what after that.
Lilli has asked for any spare sewing stuff.... because with school and 2 jobs she has some spare time to fill. So this is her pile...plus a sewing machine that is in for service.
Somehow giving it all to her doesn't feel like its a final goodbye to it. Downsizing is hard, but I know where it is going, and i hope it sparks creativity and joy. Now to find her some fabrics....
( I still have an industrial machine, a domestic and a serger....so I am not destitute by any means! 🤣)

'Gramma.... I broke the zipper on my backpack, can you fix it?'

I made this back for Lil a few years ago. It's definitely beat up and well used...but now it's so soft and supple too.
I did a fix that works, without taking it all apart, it may not be really pretty, but it shouldn't be that noticeable.

You can see the just how faded the leather is... the fix is the exact same piece of leather.
