Wait, where did September go? We had such a good time at our 1812 picnic… except I’m not very good at organizing these things yet and didn’t make everyone take a group photo! And somehow that was a month ago ?!?

Anyway, here are our dates for fall 2025:

As always, the Victorian** Sewing Circle is held at the Marr Residence from 1:00-4:00 pm on the chosen Sunday.

*There’s a bit of confusion on the internet about what day in November is the Saskatoon Santa Claus parade. Most sites say the 16th but one says the 23rd. Sewing circle will be whichever Sunday is NOT the parade.

It’s today!!!! The 1812 picnic (and debut of my riding habit, modeled after the uniform of some Canadian troops).

Working away ever so slowly on my riding habit. Its design is inspired by the uniforms of the Canadian Voltigeurs from the War of 1812, in preparation for our 1812 picnic on August 24! Feel free to lay bets on whether I get all this braid stitched in time…🥴

I really wish we could’ve found a Sunday in June that worked that didn’t conflict with the Pride Parade! But alas, June has a limited number of Sundays. If you are heading to our Sewing Circle at the Marr Residence this afternoon, please allow extra time for traffic and bridge closures!

It’s almost parade time!

Staging begins at 10am, Parade kicks off at 12pm. Line up, march loud, and celebrate Pride.
