One of my favourite parts of patternmaking is seeing how much a design can change just through fabric and colour choices alone.

So I want to know - what colour would you make yours? 👀

Sometimes it’s the smallest adjustments that change the whole feel of a garment.

The first version of this cropped vest had the center front neck sitting about 1/2" too high, which made the neckline feel heavier and more closed in. I lowered and reshaped it slightly in the second version for a cleaner line and a more balanced fit.

This is a big part of pattern development - testing proportions, checking balance, and refining details that might seem minor on paper but make a noticeable difference once sewn.

Most garments don’t start with a perfect pattern - they get there through a process.

If you’ve never worked with a patternmaker before, this is a quick look at what that actually involves: from idea → design → pattern → sample → refinement.

You don’t need everything figured out at the start.
A sketch, reference, or even just a concept is enough to begin.

From there, I help shape it into a pattern that’s accurate, buildable, and ready for sampling or production.

If you have something you’ve been thinking about making, feel free to reach out.

Every seam, every detail - pattern drafted and sewn in-house.

The jeans got a second life with custom side panels - adding arefreshed silhouette, contrast, and movement.
