Following in the footsteps of both of my grandmothers, I've been knitting and crocheting since I was a little kid, bringing antique art forms into modern times. Back before the days of YouTube, I learned to knit and crochet from my grandmothers, and from big glossy hardcover instructional books - I can still f

eel the weight of those epic volumes in my 10-year-old hands. My favourite of these books was from the UK, so this was my first introduction to the difference between British vs. American crochet terminology...

As an adult, watching other people delight in my handcrafted work has turned out to be one of my greatest joys. Each time someone beams when they put on one of my creations, I am grateful to have brought them joy.
