The Creatrix in the Matrixx Designing crochet patterns for the greater good

10/25/2025

When I released the Matrixx Hood pattern, I had no idea what was about to happen. 🖤

What started as a cozy design from my living room turned into something so much bigger. The crochet community showed up with so much love, creativity, and generosity, sharing, stitching, remixing, and bringing this hood to life all over the world!! 🌍

Every post, every tag, every “look what I made!” has meant more than words can say. Because of all of you, I’ve been able to give back, donating to women and children in Toronto’s shelter system, and turning yarn and heart into real, tangible support. 🧶✨

I’m endlessly grateful for everyone who believed in my little corner of creativity. The Matrixx Hood didn’t just go viral, it built connection, community, and impact. That’s the kind of magic you can’t plan for. 💫

Thank you, truly

I’m honestly overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who came together to help the sweetest little rescue dog 🐾💛

From neighbours who chipped in for the first vet bill, to those who donated items, and the amazing women who organized the sale and gathered donations—wow. Because of you, we raised $300 for her next vet appointment! 🎉

And to my incredible crochet community 💛 thank you for sharing my posts, purchasing patterns, and supporting me on this journey to get her healthy and safe.

I can’t thank you all enough for showing up, caring, and making a difference for this little cloud with eyes ☁️👀☁️

The past few weeks have been heartbreaking and overwhelming 💔

When I found this mama, she was neglected, in pain, and her owner wasn’t stepping up. I couldn’t walk away.. so now she and her baby are safe with me!

She’s only 2 years old and has already had 3 litters this year 😭 She deserved so much better.

Since bringing her home, I’ve made sure she has everything a new mama could need, a warm whelping tent, a steady flow of fresh water, good food, soft bedding, and toys. I weigh her puppy every day to be sure she’s thriving under her mama’s care.

At the vet, we discovered she has stage 4 patella luxation. her kneecaps slip every time she moves, which is why I can hear and feel her bones shifting when I pick her up. Without corrective surgery, she’ll face a lifetime of pain.

I can cover her necessary spay, but the knee surgery is out of reach right now. That’s where you come in!

👉 Please buy a pattern, like, comment, repost, or share this video. Every bit helps cover her medical bills and gives this sweet mama the chance at the pain-free, joyful life she deserves 🐾✨

Hello crochet friends 🧶💛

Yesterday was a DAY! I forgot to take my meds 3 days in a row prior, and had my first panic attack in months.

Unfortunately for me my panic attacks have a life span of an hr to days at a time-with little to no sleep. It’s very hard on my body and mind.

Because I am dedicated to my testers, and I want to be available and responsive, I’m going to take a few days to recover. During that time I will craft my testers email and have them sent out by Thursday or Friday at the latest.

I’m so sorry for the delay and I am so grateful for all of the help offered with the endless bumbag 💛🧶

Thank you all for understanding

-Goldie
