Created a new grow-with-me bubble romper pattern, and I can’t get enough of it. It was so cute - after photos, I tried to take it off M so we could get her dressed for a trip to the zoo, and she screamed NOOOOO and tried to keep it on. I think that means she likes it? 😂

Pattern: hack using Grow Fonder shirt, On the Grow Romper and Bunny Bottoms.

Swipe for the full dress!

I’ve been taking some time off from sewing (and from social media) for the last while, and ultimately decided to step away from sewing as a business. While I LOVE sewing things for other people, I found it just wasn’t as fun as a job and didn’t leave me time to sew the things I wanted to sew. I may still take the odd order here and there, but it’s not going to be my focus.

Anyways, I am really proud of how this grow-with-me dress turned out, and really wanted to share it. It’s a beautiful print from my good friend Anna, and one of my all-time favourites.

When your toddler decides on a Saturday afternoon that she NEEDS a new dress, and it must be black with flowers. Thank goodness for having way too much fabric, because I had this gorgeous bamboo on hand and it made the most decadent summer dress.

Happy to be back in my sewing room after taking an extended break while doing a major reno project on our house. I missed this ❤️ (heart)

Which one is your favourite? I honestly can’t choose.

Umm...YES! 😍 Super cozy 12-3T play set in cotton/Lycra interlock. I just love the simplicity of those heathered solids and stripes!

This year I have decided to shift my focus more towards helping others. I am hoping to take on more unpaid work sewing clothes for those who aren’t able to wear traditional store-bought clothes for whatever reason.

This is my first pro-bono project, a custom top for a lovely trans woman who has had trouble finding clothes that fit. She wanted a relaxed-fit black turtleneck with bishop sleeves, and Rebekah delivered!

I haven’t quite decided on a process going forward (and it will likely depend on how much interest I have) but if you know someone who could really benefit from something custom, please send them my way.

(Just a note that the image doesn’t accurately portray the fit - my dress form is quite a bit larger than the person I was sewing for, so it appears to be a much tighter fit.)
