I attended the Expedia Gala event, and it was truly an inspiring and memorable evening.
Congratulations to Maryam founder of on her well-deserved recognition for Business Excellence as the founder of Canada’s Vendor. Her achievement is a reminder that consistency, resilience, and vision always find their reward in due time. Watching her receive that honour was not just a celebration of success, but a testament to years of hard work, courage, and the discipline it takes to build something meaningful from the ground up.
And if you know me, you know I am deeply passionate about women. I love seeing women thrive, rise, and take their place unapologetically in every space they step into. I believe in women who refuse to shrink themselves. Women who choose growth even when it is uncomfortable. Women who keep showing up even when the journey feels slow, uncertain, or heavy.
Let me say this clearly:
Don’t give up on yourself. Not in your career. Not in your dreams. Not in your calling.
There will be moments where things don’t make sense. Moments where doors don’t open fast enough. Moments where you question if you are even on the right path. But those moments are not signs to quit—they are signs that you are being shaped for something stronger than where you are right now.
You are not behind. You are not late. And you are not disqualified.
Everything you are carrying—your ideas, your skills, your experiences, your desire for more—is valid. But it requires one thing from you: persistence. Keep building. Keep learning. Keep refining. Keep showing up even when no one is clapping yet.
Because what God has designed for you is not small. And it will not be missed if you stay in motion.
So I want to speak directly to the woman reading this:
Stand up again. Try again. Launch again. Apply again. Speak again. Show up again. You are closer than you think.
And if this message speaks to you, don’t just scroll past it.
Comment one word that represents what you are believing for right now.
Share it with another woman who needs this reminder today.
With the amazing ladies I met at the Expedia Gala.
