At BlackToe, Doug and Sam are synonymous with the Boston Marathon. Two of our longest-standing team members, they’ve made the trek from Hopkinton to Boston twenty times between them. They’re dedicated athletes, longtime adidas devotees, and cherished members of the BlackToe family.

In recent years, Sam faced a serious cancer diagnosis that changed her relationship with running. Never losing her love for the Boston Marathon, she became the loudest, proudest cheerleader, both for Doug and for the entire BlackToe team. Sam fought her way back to marathoning even as Boston qualifying moved out of reach. After a tough few years, we wanted to make this year’s race extra special for the two of them. With some help from adidas, on April 20th, Sam is making her way back to the start line.

We’re thrilled to partner with adidas to send Sam and Doug to the 130th Boston Marathon as adidas VIPs. On Marathon Monday, send them your loudest cheers as they lace up together again for the race of a lifetime.

We’re still riding the high from last weekend’s Winter Warriors Race Simulation Run, and we want to thank all of our incredible partners who helped make it happen. Our Race Simulation Runs are always a highlight of the season, but after a long winter, this one felt extra special. 300 runners brought the energy right from the buses through to the finish line and post-run party. Thanks for making the Winter Warriors program so much fun!
