An 18-month wait for a single delivery.

Our latest shipment of Porter Japan’s CRAG collection has finally arrived, and the reason for the long lead time comes down to an uncompromising production process in Kurashiki, Okayama.

Woven from a raw 50/50 nylon-cotton back satin. Nylon provides lightweight tensile strength, while cotton adds a tactile hand and long-term fading potential. Every bag is fully sewn in raw form before entering a tedious sequential "Two-Bath" Dyeing process (*Niban-Zome*)—one bath for the synthetic nylon, and a second for the natural cotton. As the contrasting fibers dry and shrink, the fabric develops a distinct crispness, deep multi-tonal color, and natural seam puckering. Over time, the cotton component softens and fades with wear, building a distinct patina.

The Yuketen Amandola boot traces its roots to the steep terrain of Italy’s Sibillini range. Made for long days on uneven ground, it pairs traditional Italian stitchdown construction with heavily oiled Virgil leather sourced from a historic local tannery.

The Build: Triple-stitched upper onto a leather midsole, finished with a classic Cortina outsole.

The Leather: Intentionally finished "naked" to preserve the natural fiber structure, allowing minor natural variations and a deep patina to develop over time.

The Fit: Cut roomy on a proven hiking last to pair naturally with heavy socks.
