Being a Canadian-made fashion brand feels like an uphill climb these days more so than ever . Over the years, we’ve watched incredible independent brands quietly close their doors—each one representing someone’s dream, countless late nights, and years of heart and hard work. This past week we’ve heard that LEZÉ The Label is pausing, and we totally get it. Unless you are in this industry, it’s impossible to understand the challenges and how it affects you personally. As you’ve noticed we’ve paused new production for now as well. 😕
The reality is that small businesses are navigating rising material costs, economic uncertainty, shrinking Canadian manufacturing, and an industry increasingly dominated by fast fashion. Sometimes it can feel impossible to compete which is why digging deep to find your “why” is so important.
Yet through every challenge, Lav & Kush has stayed grounded in what mattered from the very beginning: creating thoughtfully made pieces that blend exceptional comfort with effortless style. We’ve never wanted to chase trends at the expense of quality or compromise the values that brought us here.
As our journey continues to evolve, and we work to build Globerry, there may be seasons like this one where we pause, reflect, or take our time introducing something new. And there will be seasons of fresh ideas and exciting collections. Whatever comes next, one thing will never change. Comfort, versatility and style. We will have some exciting items for Fall, so we hope you still support us as you always have!
