🐼 Should I bring this little climbing panda back?

The story of this tiny panda began with a little bit of handmade magic.

Back in 2014, C Yarn Hut hosted our very first giveaway. The winner was the talented felting artist Yuriko from Japan. That giveaway became the beginning of a special friendship between C Yarn Hut and Lambsear Felt, all through our shared love of handmade creations.

In 2015, Yuriko surprised me with a package containing two treasures: felted Clarissa and the adorable felted climbing panda. I still treasure them today.

I loved the climbing panda so much that I asked Yuriko if I could create a crochet version inspired by her original felted design. She kindly said yes.

In 2016, the C Yarn Hut crochet climbing panda was born. Soon after, I also created a DIY kit so fellow makers could make their own climbing pandas.

Now, 10 years later, these little pandas remind me that the most wonderful things can begin with a simple giveaway, a shared passion, and a kind "yes."

Beyond crochet, I'm exploring new ways to work with yarn.

Recently I've been experimenting with weaving and testing different textures, colors, and materials. This beautiful blue Moss-moss yarn caught my eye, and I couldn't resist putting it on the loom.

Trying something new always reminds me that creativity grows when we step outside our usual routines.

Filled with crochet threads, Japanese craft tools, scissors, stitch markers, and small objects I genuinely love using and collecting.

I wanted it to feel like stepping into a quiet craft studio — soft colors, thoughtful tools, and inspiration for making things slowly.
