My name is Kira Gammie and I officially founded Once Upon A Trim in May 2022. I live in Victoria, BC, Canada with my partner, Chris and two cats, Maestro and Notes. All my life I've been a lover of all things creative- be it music, sewing, fashion, beauty and more. I took my first professional steps into these industries when I graduated with a Diploma in Hairstyling in 2021. This milestone opened
a door into the world of hair and accessories and I've been down this rabbit hole every since. After constantly purchasing products that seemed to never quite fit my needs, I took it upon my self to create products that do! Due to an unfortunate roll over accident this summer, my hairstyling career is temporarily on pause, which has given me the opportunity to turn a passion project into a small business that I've poured my heart and soul into. Once Upon A Trim specializes in handmade, luxury hair accessories and is primarily known for its 100% silk products. Silk accessories promote good hair health and helps to prevent breakage, frizz, tangles and loss of moisture. My products are made with high grade fabrics purchased from locally owned fabric stores with love and, of course, a sprinkle of pixie dust!
