It’s funny, the hold that “productivity” has on us all.

We’ve been asked (lovingly, of course) many times what our future plans are now that our business is coming to a close.

Though we have some ideas, we’re also allowing ourselves to pause and take a breath. What if nothing is next?

What if instead of working two jobs and burning the candle at both ends.. we made time for hobbies? Friends? Rest?

We’ve been battling with the idea of tuning out the advocacy world for a little while. Of taking a break from media. It feels incredibly selfish. It feels a lot like willful ignorance.

But it’s not.

Self care isn’t selfish.

Prioritizing yourself, your wellness, your joy, is not selfish.

We truly cannot support others if we are not nourishing ourselves too.

Rest is not negotiable 🤎

Our BIG news is finally here!

It is with love and gratitude that we share our choice to close shop here at HERstory & Co and step away from our online space. While it was a difficult decision, this community project turned business has come with 4 years of amazing experiences, accomplishments, friendships and life lessons.

We can’t help but look back on our journey with a smile knowing we DID the damn thing.

We are beyond appreciative of EVERYONES support to date. Whether you’re here from our baby days or you just joined our space this week. Your support has always been the catalyst of this community.

We hope that you all continue to strive for social change, equity and dismantling the patriarchy with us. Despite not having HERstory & Co to do this with, we will ALWAYS carry these same values and lessons in whatever future endeavours may come.

We know that the future is bright as we navigate this transition away from being business owners and onto exploring our own paths.

It’s not the “same as it was”- it’s far better. And we have you to thank for that.
