It was so much fun working on .antoine ‘s wedding dress! We made a ton of design changes to it (one of my favourite things to do!) first we took up the straps, the we took in the bust at the princess seam. Completely reshaped the neckline (it was a high neck originally but we changed it to a V neck and it completely changed the vibe of the dress 🙌. I removed a cream coloured tulle from the skirt, and added a mesh “lining” to the top so it wasn’t as transparent. The biggest design change is I made custom mesh + lace appliqué sleeves! The original straps sat too close to her neck so I had to custom make a shoulder piece that attached to the straps and laid perfectly on the end of her shoulder. And then I could properly attach the sleeve to the shoulder. And the last thing I did was do a 3-point American (over) bustle. She just looked SO stunning!! When making customizations to a wedding dress, my job is to make sure all the changes look cohesive like this one🩷

Ashley came in with an absolutely stunning gown with 3D appliqués. She had mentioned that she would prefer if the v in the center bodice was a bit more closed, so I took that in. The boning around the bust we also had to take in a bit, so that she didn’t feel like she had to be adjusting the dress all day. Her dress had such a stunning train, but for her reception, she wanted to have it up and out of the way! I put in a 3 point American (over) bustle to make it so she could dance and move without worrying about someone stepping on her train. The dress needed a bit of a hem so we just hemmed it in the front and had it taper off into the sides of the skirt so that she could keep the same length of the train.
This was such a fun and gorgeous dress to work on. And she is such a beautiful bride!

A little personal post today. This day 5 years ago me and my husband eloped, outside in the middle of the biggest thunderstorm of the year! I made a 50s inspired white dress that I originally made for a photoshoot we were going to do in Germany. But the pandemic hit so we didn’t go. And this bridal cape I had made for an editorial shoot for a model. I had no idea I was going to wear it for our wedding until the morning of our elopement 😂☺️. Happy 5 years my love. Here’s to at LEAST 5 more 😋❤️

Going to finally start posting some of my amazing brides from last year 🥰paille ‘s dress (from ) was so classic and elegant, I kept saying it should be in vogue. We moved where the straps go in the back, contoured her hips, and took in the bust. Then we made the slit a little bit higher so it was all proportionate, and slightly shortened and reshaped the train. Then the final thing we did is put in a 9 point ballroom (invisible) bustle so for the reception she could move around easily. We did 9 points so that the bottom of the bustle in the back looked like it naturally flowed into the sides of the dress. 🩷

I had the honour of custom making satin dress and veil for her stunning February wedding. (I love a winter wedding!)
We wanted the skirt to have a bit of volume but not an overwhelming amount. We added a layer of crinoline to the skirt and it added the perfect amount of shape for this sleek A-line skirt. And yes…. This dress does have pockets!
For the veil we did a fingertip length veil with a cute satin bow that matched the dress’s satin.
