The unique Ascolite button wrapping system is based on the combination of a button wrapping machine and the elastomeric heatsealable Ascolite RTF thread. The button attachment is secured by wrapping the filament under tension around the shank of the button. Quality of the button wrapping

Ascolite RTF-thread is guaranteeing the maximum possible button security. The highly elastic filament is wrapped around the button shank under tension. To increase the security of the button many technicians adjust the tension on the button-attaching machine to the maximum. This way there is no space between the button and the garment. The fastening with such a button is very tricky. The benefit of a shanked button is that they just glide easily through the buttonhole. The flexible and slim Ascolite button shank even makes buttoning the cuffs and collar a simple job.

Ascolite® RTF-Yarn has been specially developed for button shank wrapping. RTF-yarn has the following advantages compared to normal sewing yarn:
Elastic core
The elastic core of the yarn allows such a tight wrapping under Tension, that the main sewing threads are clamped together and cannot get loose again.

Thermo-fusible outer layer:
The thermo-fusible layer bonds the wrapping threads together and does not leave loose ends.

Fastness
Ascolite® RTF yarn has been tested several times by internationally recognized institutes (Hohenstein Institut, SGS, Underwriters Laboratories, etc.) and is certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, REACH Standards and M&S-Quality standards.

Ascolite® is ecologically safe; free from toxic substances, resisting to light, ironing, rubbing and washing proof up to at least 60 ° C as well as resistant to chemical cleaning, even surviving tunnel finisher up to 140 ° C.
