This is an important message to anyone who has ever been told they are overqualified.

Nope, there is no such thing.
We all need a roof over our heads and to put food on the table.
They were just not the environment for you because they wanted to contain you in a box.

You, beautiful human, are unboxable.

Take some time, and get really grounded.
Lie on the ground, stand on the ground, dance on the ground and breathe.
Start really listening to what you want to happen if you truly trust yourself and your energy, and know that no one is creating these pretend boxes.

True story, my contractions started in this yoga studio, just after teaching a class. Now, I'm giving birth again.

Let me be bold enough to say you don't need to be childbearing to give birth.

So, I am in a new season of giving birth.

Women's value far surpasses anything biological. The impact that we can have on communities and on the future is creating a society where the matriarchy puts the youngest and the most vulnerable first, regardless of biology.

As I move into my post menopause season, I embrace it, and raise not just my 2 kids, my godchildren and anyone I come into contact with wanting to leave the world a better place. Anyone aware of my grassroots work knows it goes deep. I am proud to be part of a curation of people who want to do the same.

40% of AI-generated insurance quotes were rejected. The reason should concern every board.

The model was charging foreign customers 74% more. Because that’s the current human design. It’s trained on decades of accepted human bias and pricing decisions that did exactly that. Oh, and it’s still legal today in Switzerland that your nationality, from Italian, Albanian, or American, carries a higher price tag than your driving record.

This is the kind of data and systems problem nobody wants to talk about in polite company. It’s how my research back in 2020 started, and then grew building Retrieval Augmented Generation, designed to address the gap. If your enterprise knowledge base was built by humans operating within a biased system, your AI will operationalise that bias at scale and speed, with a veneer of mathematical objectivity.

Sounds simple, but this friction is why adoption varies between populations, the friction of feeling it does not represent you. But if you're a business leader, it's the customer competitive advantage you are missing out on. Foreigners make up 27% of Switzerland. Can you imagine accurate, fair insurance quotes accepted by 27% of a nation? Higher market share, customer acquisition, and retention!

Data is never neutral. It is a record of decisions made by people operating in contexts shaped by power, access and history.

The fix is not a fairness widget bolted on at the end. Equity is built into the architecture from the beginning. That means auditing what goes into your RAG pipeline, who created it, whose experience it centres, and what it systematically excludes.

I spoke about this at Cambridge. The research is detailed. You cannot take old-world human data and systems, feed them into new-world systems and expect equitable outcomes. You will just accelerate your revenue decline!

And don’t even get me started on OPEX ;).

This is a board-level risk. It is also a business opportunity if you get ahead of it.

My state of AI Sunday musings, how can I help companies not screw up their EBIT this year and deliver their strategy!?

Uber burned its annual AI budget in Q1 ( $951 million), and Microsoft who has invested $13 billion into OpenAI, has reportedly told its coders to stop using AI because they can’t afford it. Microsoft is a trillion-dollar company. Are you ready to scale in the current AI-First design? And for those using GitHub, there is no longer a flat rate; as of today, you pay for every token you use.

It was always coming, and it was obvious because, unlike the industrial revolution, this AI revolution is built on the idea that you never own the model, something we tackled at CH Open; see previous post in comments.

In this post, I want to break down how your board need to get a grip of the finances NOW, if they have not already. My analogy, and visual, you can choose to be a landlord, a leaseholder, or a renter, in which case your landlord can raise the rent at any time. In fact, on the current AI First chat trajectory as you become a better tenant, you will be rewarded with a higher bill!

I hope that analogy lands.

If you want answers to not killing your EBIT, and being able to leverage AI where it makes sense, here are my tips:

* Focus on the human design, your customer and what problem you are solving. It sounds simple, but client after client, companies have lost this!

* Then focus on workflows, not chats. I say this very carefully: chat will not bring you productivity; it will bring you a big OPEX bill and, at the same time, indirect costs: 45% of your employees are burnt out, 32% cognitive dissonance, and limited ROI!

* In the workflow design, focus on Human Design elements, my research and application has 8: explainability and environment, for example. Now, I know I possibly lost some leaders in the environment, but hear me out. The fewer tokens you spend on your task to get the job done, the lower your cost to serve, the better your EBIT and ROI! Win:Win for your ESG and your bonus.

The color red
