Hi everyone!
I am still waiting for Ravelry to reopen my store, but for now, for the Ultimate Sacrifice Shawl, please try this link below. Let me know if it works, thank you for your patience and understanding,
Lorraine

This shawl looks breath-taking in a gradient yarn. I have used a custom 200g gradient in black to turquoise. You can create the subtle ‘illuminated heart’ effect by starting with a dark shade, then switching to the brighter end of the gradient yarn when the heart is complete.

Hello!!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted (I’ve started on a new venture and rebranded - I’ll post a link in the comments if you’re interested). It has come to my attention that the Danish version of the Ultimate Sacrifice Shawl Pattern is full of errors.
After contacting other professional translators and learning that they’re too busy during this unusual time, I have found myself learning the language and translating it myself.
The update is almost ready, however I just wanted to update my Facebook followers on the situation.
Thank You for your patience and take care!
Lorraine xx

Awesome Indie Dyer Alert...
So for those of who watched my Instagram story a few weeks ago, you'll have seen I was in search of some Pacific-Islands-inspired yarn after watching a documentary... Thanks to an Instagram hashtag search I discovered Annie of 'The Moon and Sixpence' on etsy . Her shawl set perfectly embodied the turquoise blue ocean, the coconut husks of a desert island and the speckled beaches where sand meets shore!
Add this to my recent idea of a crochet shawl while relaxing in a hammock during our camping trip and it all equates to an exciting new project!
The lovely Annie has given me the pleasure of naming these color ways, individually as well as the shawl set name. Any suggestions? Xx

"Great art picks up where nature ends"
- Marc Chagall
You can't deny that Mother Nature (or the higher power of your beliefs) provides the most inspiration for creating something new. This feather will remain on my crochet & knitting inspiration board. For now though: *dives into yarn stash to match up colors* Do you ever do this? Just play with colors when you already have enough WIPS?
[no peacocks were harmed in the sourcing of this feather!]

Jasmine. Such a divine, sweet smell. My neighbor will be trimming it down soon so I thought I'd snip some stems to adorn my table a few days ago and.. wait... what's this?! A toe?!

The first colour section of my Branch Out shawl design is almost done, so I've put the next colour in my basket ready, almost willing for it to hop on my needles!
In other news:
A few weeks ago I had a pair of Wheatears nest in the bird box on this balcony that I'm sitting out on. I daren't disturb them so I closed the curtains and left them alone for a good few weeks. I'm really happy to say that I was able to follow their progress, even finding where the fledgling was being kept after flying the nest. Now I can use my outdoor space again, new flowers are to be planted too. I'm learning more about this breed of feathered friend with the help of this amazing (and old!) hard back book that I found beside a bin! Crazy what treasures you can discover if you're not too proud!
First colour is 'Dried Brown Algae'
Second colour is 'Dozing By The Pond'
Both are hand dyed by 'Dye For Yarn' aka 'Dye For Wool' (their Merino Sport base).
