Chiengora® at Bloomberg // Last year I was interviewed by about the potentials of dog wool. As the extensive and well written article by David Ramly is behind a paywall, I want to just share a tiny little bit what I told David during our multiple meetings:

Ann Cathrin Schönrock: „I am convinced there needs to be much more research on the fibers of certain pet dog breeds to successfully produce a good yarn. This is why I am enrolled back at university and I also support others with the research about it.“

„The biggest challenge we face when wanting to bring yarns made from dog fibers successfully into the market (as an alternative to cashmere and other fine fibers), is creating a raw material sourcing system that works on a larger scale.“
