It’s been a hot minute Instagram. I was busy! Between Aug-Dec my husband was in Germany while I held down the fort in Japan. Then we all moved to Frankfurt 🇩🇪 in January. We’re finally getting settled in and enjoying our new home for the next 3-5 years. I took this weekend to revamp the website, it’s a lot more mobile friendly 😊 I also finished a new free pattern featuring Bette Davis Eyes 👀 if you like the actress or the 80s jam check it out! Hoping to post more patterns and tutorials in 2022. Also featured is my new start, a pattern from featuring rapunzel. I’m doing the piece with some gorgeous silk threads hand dyed by .

Was hoping to get the done for but I think I’m about stitched out on it for now. Got a lot done at least! This awesome pattern is from and was one of the first cross stitch purchases I made years ago 🙊. Maybe I’ll finish it before I turn 40? Time for some more dedicated October stitching now!

So what did I do right before I saw this ? I started 3 new patterns 🤦‍♀️. Guess they’ll get added to the list! I’ve started so many new projects this year, and I really need to finish some before they get packed up. I have a few crochet projects to work on as well, like a sweater that still doesn’t have any sleeves...

Been in a mood recently and this has been relaxing. This is one of four squares of the apocalypse. This is plague, a gorgeous geometric design with four skulls in each corner. Stitching it in cosmo seasons 9019 for super variegation.

I finished! I actually finished by last week but we had nonstop rain and I couldn’t get enough light for a nice picture of such a gorgeous piece! This is one of my proudest finishes. The border took weeks to get the variegated effect, but the birds stitched up quicker. Gorgeous threads are from , I used lazuli, lilac, mermaid, and carabie from the blue/purple thread pack. The fabric is 14 count carnival by . Will not be framing yet due to upcoming move but can’t wait to hang it in our new apartment in Frankfurt! Also pictured is my progress on my black Philip piece.

Slowly making my way through this sucky summer. Increase in covid here in Japan has been stressful for all. I can’t wait till I can FINALLY get my vaccine in a week! The bright colors in my has been helping. Border is complete and 4 corner birds are stitched. Thank you again for such a beautiful pattern, it’s been helping me a lot during this time! My favorite variegation came from the top left bird so I included a close up 😉

On Friday my best friend of almost 12 years passed away. It was extremely sudden and even the vet can’t be sure why she went from completely fine to gone in under an hour. I spent the weekend crying and remembering how she helped me through so many challenges and moves. I’m glad she didn’t have to suffer a long time but I still miss her terribly. Please hug your pets extra for me today, we don’t get enough time with them.

This week was so much. Husband finally booked his flight to Germany in just a couple weeks 😳 last day of school for one kid, couple more days for another. The Olympics are slowly beginning their dumpster fire entrance and I can’t wait for them to be over 🤦‍♀️ we will be avoiding Tokyo for the next few weeks at least. I’ve felt a bit morbid so I got out my piece by . Completing one satanic goat 🐐 has brought me some peace 😌I also started working on a cross stitch project bag. The cover is my own invention and will include and . Hoping to get more done on my own projects but damn if moving internationally, starting a new job, homeschooling in 2 languages, trying to sell a house, and learn 2 different foreign languages doesn’t get in the way sometimes 😫.

Received my order from on Friday so I was able to start on ! It was a busy weekend so I didn’t get too much stitching time, but the colors are so beautiful 😻 indigo sky is so pretty I don’t want to put the floss down. I’m an idiot who almost posted their wifi info online 😂 please don’t be like me! This is my “ye olde wifi sampler” with the called for DMC colors on a mystery 32 count polka dot linen. This week I’ve done quite a bit of blogging. I finally wrote up my review of the latest issue of and have some info on some of the stitchers featured there if you want to find new cross stitch designers to follow. I also made a grime guard for my new and thought I’d share how I did that too. Finally, I needed a friend this week so I held paws w the punk. in the last picture.
