We wanted to address an ongoing issue that has affected many families in the US: Kendamil shortages in stores.

In 2023, we made the proactive decision to phase out Kendamil due to persistent manufacturing problems and supply-chain issues at Kendal Nutricare, which resulted in frequent product shortages, empty shelves and unpredictable availability.

At Bottles & Burps, we have long recommended HiPP formulas, which have established a stellar reputation for their reliability and quality. If you’re frustrated by the challenge of finding the Kendamil formula, we encourage you to switch to its closest organic alternatives: HiPP German PRE for 0-6 months, HiPP German 2 No Starch for 6+ months and HiPP Dutch 3 Toddler Milk for 12-24 months.

Lastly, if your little one is between 0 and 6 months, we highly recommend reviewing the iron content in Kendamil’s single-stage formula for the US market. The iron levels in Kendamil Organic significantly exceed those found in comparable European formulas by 30-40%.
