On this year’s Fashion Revolution Day, we want to focus on the people and roles that contribute to our finished yarns across the full process – which goes beyond the actual production itself.

Meet two of our colleagues at Da Lat Worsted Spinning Ltd., our spinning mill in Vietnam, who play a valuable role in keeping that process safe, compliant and running smoothly: Bui Viet Hung, our Health & Safety Specialist, and Mai Quynh Giao, our Technical Purchasing Supervisor.

Let’s not say goodbye to winter just yet ❄️

Instead, let’s take a quick trip to Jilin in China, where temperatures drop to a crisp -25°C and the snowy landscape transforms into a paradise for ski lovers. Recently, the Chinese marketplace Tmall hosted a special event there inspired by the Winter Olympics in Milan/Cortina, and our collaborating brand UTO took part as one of four featured labels.

The event included interactive games, wool knowledge quizzes, and a mock awards podium. Zhang Jing, an extreme sports athlete sponsored by UTO, led skiing sessions and instructional activities for a group of invited influencers.

And where do we come in? Both Zhang Jing and the influencers wore UTO’s thermal base layers made from our yarn. You can also spot our Merino sheep in the photos. 🧡

In our interview with , one thought captured the spirit of our collaboration perfectly:

“The ambition was to ‘contaminate’ the authentic aesthetics of denim with the nobility of a precious fibre. The result is a fabric that combines a clean and extremely sophisticated image with a higher intrinsic value, elevating denim to new standards of elegance.” (Berto)

👖 This guiding idea shaped the whole project: keeping denim’s familiar character while introducing subtle refinements through Merino wool.

For our Innovation Hub story, we created three distinct weights of wool denim, each with its own purpose:

This range gives designers the freedom to move between categories while keeping a cohesive look and feel. And with its non-stretch nature, relaxed fits come naturally.
