Important Clarification
Calligraph (Created, Owned & Directed by May Essam) did involve for a certain period of time in cooperation with AGORA. However, the agreement upon which the cooperation based was as follows;
1. Calligraph ( MAY ESSAM ) is to create 80 pieces to be displayed in several exhibitions taking place in; Egypt( Alexandria, Cairo) England, Lebanon and Greece.
2. From Calligraph's part, 80 pieces was created as agreed and in only two exhibitions taking place in Alexandria and Cairo, Calligraph managed to sell approximately 40 pieces out of the 80 ( with all its due bills sent to the attention of Agor's contact)
3. However, Agora did participate in events in both Lebanon and Greece, using Calligraph name, ideas and designs WITHOUT notifying Calligraph's owner and more, AGORA made another person represent Calligraph rather than its original creator & owner. Something that totally and completely violates the initial agreement between Calligraph (MAY ESSAM) and Agora.
Under these circumstances, Calligraph, and after seeking a reasonable explanation from AGORA's side and found none, decided to end this cooperation, maintaining the right of continue the initial agreement, which is to have Calligraph ( May Essam) market for the remaining pieces and give its due share to the parties involved after they are being sold. As it is Calligraph's owner's full right to market for their work not anyone else as Agora did using Calligraph name.
