You know I'm always all about the little details. Phoenix Summer top has a delicate lace detail on the neckline, making the neckline feel more open while not showing too much. The little cap sleeves are shaped with German short rows and finished off with a fun and cute ruffle.⁠⁠

Phoenix Summer is my latest pattern and it's got everything you'll want in a summer knit. There's lace on the neckline, the sleeves are short little cap sleeves with cute ruffles. The best part is the fit. The shoulders and bust are fitted but not too tight while the hem is shaped slightly into a more relaxed A-line shape.

My one and only summer design for this year is here! Meet Phoenix Summer, a sweet top with lace on the neckline, fitted shoulders but A-line hem and cute little cap sleeves with ruffles at the bind-off. The neckline is finished off with i-cord bind-off.

A designer should be working ahead of time, making summer knits in the dead of winter. And I do that sometimes. But really, I just want to be a seasonal knitter too! I want to knit a summer skirt when it’s warm and sunny. (And I wish I could knit on the pier like in the video but truthfully I got like 5 sts in before I had to help the kiddos.) I’m trying to see if I can finish the skirt in time for Jyväskylä Knit Festival in a couple weeks. Why do you think of my chances?🤭
