Il y a un moment où l’on arrête de “faire pour les autres”, où l’on relâche le trop, et où l’on revient à ce qui est vraiment essentiel pour soi.
C’est souvent là que commencent ces ateliers. 
Un espace pour ralentir, créer avec ses mains à nouveau, et retrouver le plaisir simple d’être dans le processus.

Why everyone needs art 
I posted a story of me leaving and clearly carrying a huge package, together with a bag containing paper sheets. I asked what kind of paper I was carrying? Watercolour, acrylic or one for pencil and charcoal. The votes were very strong:  33% for watercolour, 67% for acrylic and 0% for pencil / charcoal.
Two weeks ago at an exhibition I received a set of charcoal for drawing. Talking with another participant, she put me on an email list of local artists who regularly organise sessions of painting and drawing live n**e models.  I haven’t done this kind of drawing since high school, nearly 20 years ago...
I was nervous when I went to the first session. I didn’t know what would come out of it. Would I suck? Would I manage, in only 20 minutes, to fill a 50x65 cm paper? 
I sat down, pulled out my charcoal and touched the smooth surface of the paper - it felt like silk. The model arrived, someone set the timer. From the first second it started until the last beep of the alarm, I didn’t stop.
My eyes were moving quickly between the model and
my paper, my fingers were all dirty with charcoal, my brain was sharper than ever. 
I felt the bliss a human being feels when they believe they are at their very best. When you feel like you’re not even in your body, yet more present than ever. I felt powerful. There is nothing else, ever, in my 37 years on this earth that gives me this feeling. 
Everyone needs art, because everyone needs to get closer to this experience and feel what it means to create. By taking an art class, purchasing an artwork you love, or visiting a museum, you experience creation. 
I was carrying more charcoal paper in that Géant des Beaux Arts bag the other day.

From outside to inside! 🇬🇧
They say every city has its secrets.
From the outside: a quiet city hall, flags waving, formal as ever.
From the inside: a different kind of story - one told through colour, silence and symbolism.
My paintings are now exhibited inside the Hotel de Ville of the city I live in. It’s a small milestone - but for an artist, it feels like home showing itself back to you.

Un petit pas peut-être… mais pour une artiste, c’est comme si la maison vous renvoyait un regard.
