Italian designer Marco de Vicenzo has been hired by LVMH’s Givenchy to develop the brand’s leather goods’ line, senior industry sources said on Tuesday.

Marquee Brands this week confirmed Miss Tweed's exclusive report about the brand management company's purchase of a majority stake in Roberto Cavalli. It also confirmed that the Level Group (TLG) will be its operating partner. TLG will lead the development, manufacturing and distribution of the brand's women's and men's collections. As Miss Tweed indicated, DAMAC Group will retain a minority stake in the business. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026.
It's interesting to note that no fashion group or private equity firm has expressed much interest in Roberto Cavalli. Investors have turned bearish with regards to the fashion industry at a time of war in the Middle East and the ongoing luxury spending downturn.

Burberry is on the mend. Its focus on outerwear, scarves and Britishness is slowly paying off. It is a shame the market is so difficult. The British trench coat specialist known for its distinctive tartan struck an optimistic note this week, but it steered clear of giving any guidance, citing the highly unstable geopolitical and macro-economic environment. The cautious outlook sent Burberry’s shares down by a few percentage points. They lost more than 13 percent this week.

Quite a few big companies, equity firms, family offices and wealthy individuals have invested a lot of money in longevity and wellness projects – whether it is private clinics, medical research or consumer products such as supplements and serums. It is a highly fragmented and eclectic universe populated by big and small players.�Among the bigger ones, L’Oréal and Kering are at the forefront. The French cosmetics giant and the luxury group agreed last year to form a joint venture dedicated to wellness and longevity.

La longévité et le bien-être séduisent les clients et les investisseurs

Plus que les sacs, les montres et les chaussures de luxe, la promesse de vivre plus longtemps et en meilleure forme attire de plus en plus de consommateurs aisés. Des grands groupes, des sociétés d’investissement et des grandes fortunes se positionnent sur ce marché, en ouvrant des cliniques, en commercialisant des sérums et des compléments alimentaires et en finançant des recherches.
L’Oréal et Kering sont en première ligne. Le géant des cosmétiques et le groupe de luxe ont décidé l’an dernier de créer une coentreprise spécialisée dans le bien-être et la longévité.

It would be a great coup for Swatch brand owner Swatch Group, whose sales have been hit hard by the spending downturn and poor management.
