Milia m Contemporary designs with feminine accents, imaginative interplays of transparency & folds that wrap Milia Maroun is the designer behind fashion label Milia M.

Born and brought up in Beirut, Milia studied fashion design at Esmod in Paris before becoming a lingerie designer ,and then subsequently launching her own fashion label in 2000. In doing so she has become a pioneering female fashion designer from the Middle East – choosing to start directly in the domain of ready-to-wear over couture, placing accessibility, comfort and femininity at the centre of

her designs. Her aesthetic is one underpinned by a sense of free spirit, intelligence and a sexy humility while remaining sophisticated and contemporary. The Milia M flagship store in Beirut’s Saifi Village was the designer's creative base and vitrine of curiosities until November 2016, after which Milia - a woman on the go - began a new journey with the world in its entirety as a base with pop-up shops, exhibitions and fashion rendezvous. Today, she boasts a worldwide client base and has been featured in Glamour, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and ELLE among others.

🖤🕊️It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our dear Milia, founder of the Kimabaya, middle eastern designer and artist.

May she rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to radiate the same light and positivity she brought to the world.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and all who loved her.
A rare and beautiful soul has left us yesterday, but her legacy will live on.
