Always fancied having a go at Punch Needle but not been sure where to start? Or have you needed up with a kit and it all just doesn’t seem to work or come together?

My Introduction to Punch Needle Class is for you.

Join me on Saturday 23rd May, 10-1.30pm at my studio at Deemouth Artist Studios Torry for a full introduction to this gorgeous craft.

I will take you through the materials and tools involved and how to match these for success. From there you will have the chance to pick a design, or do one yourself if you are feeling really creative. I’ll take you through different stitches and techniques to create a gorgeous punch needle piece.

All tools and materials required will be provided. You will come away with your finished piece in an embroidery hoop. We will be using Oxford Punch Needle tools in class and if you decide you love it, I will have a selection of tools and additional materials available to buy.

Prepping for my last Beginners’ Sewing workshop of the year tomorrow. And after that it is full steam ahead for the following weekend- IT’S OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS MARKET WEEKEND!! 🎉🎉🎉

This is the biggest year yet. So many residents are opening their doors AND we have a brilliant selection of guest creatives too. There will be a coffee truck and even a hot food truck! (Veggies and vegans bring a packed lunch 🤦‍♀️😂)

If you have wanted to come and see just what goes on down here at the studios THIS is the weekend. Not only will you be able to do some ace indie Christmas shopping, but meet the creatives behind it all, nosey around everyone’s studios and just have a lovely festive time.

HAND-STITCHED FESTIVE DECORATION WORKSHOP

Join me on Saturday 6th December 1-4.30pm for a cozy afternoon of festive hand stitching. Suitable for complete beginners, I will take you through some simple construction techniques and embroidery skills before you are able to let your creativity run wild.

I will have plenty of examples and templates you can use as a guide, or you can design something completely unique. All materials and tools included. A great way to switch off from the hustle and bustle of this time of year. As always I will have endless supplies of tea, coffee, herbal teas and sweet treats and perhaps even a festive tipple.
