What's an absolute honour in the last few months I've been designing and making a very very important dress which I'm very proudly to present to you today this dress has a lot of history to it and being the only dress ever to be made in this fabric it's one of a kind .
Me and my client AELX Night ..sat together talking about the best design for this project as the fabric alone is so unique.her husband very carefuly prepared on his computer the pattern we are going to use .we got the fabric printed and then sent to my studio in ashington Northumberland so I took her measurements and started making the pattern first I made a mock up of the dress in a cottern fabric for a trial run to see how it would fall ect which is the first picture you see ..then studied the main fabric not to make any mistakes before cutting ect
If you look closely to the fabric it has been printed with all women in the UK that have received there MBE since the 1900 hundreds even two women from Hexham are on this fabric ..
So now you may start to understand how important this dress was to make for my client as she was getting her MBE today in Windsor castle and was given to her by his RH prince William who asked her questions about the dress and said he loved her dress and has a beautiful story to tell .to be continued

This has been one of my best projects IV done in all the years IV been dresses makeing I had a bride that wanted to use her grandmother wedding dress from the 50s so I took it apart cleaned the fabric as it was stunning then remade the dress as we designed it . Still keeping a vintage look to the dress but with a modern twist hear is a before and after look at the final result .hear is the original dress and after xx
