Swimwear labels can be so misleading and it’s catching so many women out. A lot of brands from Germany and Spain put their sizing first on the label, which is what your eye is naturally drawn to, but that is not your UK size. It is usually the UK size shown alongside it that you actually need to check before buying. This is why you might think your size is sold out when it really is not. Always double check the UK size on the label before you assume it will not fit.

Today I found myself reflecting on a pattern I see so often in the fitting room, women walking in having felt uncomfortable for years, adjusting, putting up with it, assuming it is just how bras are meant to feel, and then comes the moment everything shifts. The tape measure says something completely different, a D becomes an E, sometimes even higher, and suddenly there is this wave of emotion. Some laugh, some go quiet, some cry, because it is not just about the size, it is the realisation that their body was never the problem. They were not “too much” or “difficult to fit”, they were simply in the wrong bra. And in that moment, you can almost see the relief, the confidence starting to come back, and the years of discomfort finally make sense.
