When a phonecall asked if I could make her mother of the bride outfit, I turned the question back on her.

'What if you made it yourself?'

Gayle hadn't sewn since school. But her parents had just given her a sewing machine for Christmas - and I told her that was a sign.

She joined my Advanced Sewing Course, came in with a vision, and we got to work. Silver blue satin. A fitted bodice and full circle skirt. Feathers on the shoulders.

On her daughter's wedding day, she heard gasps when guests found out she made it herself.

It was a real pleasure to be invited by the NIEG to run the weekend Residential Retreat at Drumalis House.

We were all immersed in creativity!
The food was delcious and the welcome at Drumalis Retreat Centre was a warm one.

I came home very chilled out and very inspired!
