Soโฆ I thought it was about time I introduced myself and the story behind Jislaaik.
Iโm Christine a South African who made the big move to the UK, and somewhere between missing home and finding my feet in a new country, Jislaaik was born. โค๏ธ
Jislaaik is all about bringing a little bit of South Africa with you through art, clothing, cups, totes, hoodies and all those little things that make us Saffas smile and say โjisssโฆโ ๐
But thereโs something even more special about Jislaaik.
I get to work with a seriously talented local artist in South Africa, bringing their creativity and artwork into pieces that you can wear, use and enjoy wherever you are in the world. ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐จ
For me, itโs not just about making products. Itโs about celebrating South African creativity, supporting local artists, keeping that Saffa spirit alive and sharing a little bit of home with the world.
And now that Iโm based in Bolsover, UK, Iโm excited to build Jislaaik from here connecting South African creativity with life over here. ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ง
